brands built around
Built for the person who lives actively but doesn't want to choose between recovery and relaxation — that in-between moment after the workout is done but the day isn't quite over. 5mg of hemp-derived THC, B vitamins, and electrolytes, all pointing toward the same consumer. JKI led full creative direction and brand identity development, building the logo, color system, and packaging design from the ground up. We developed product architecture and line extensions with retail assets designed to communicate one clear signal: easy recovery, earned calm.

Built for the moments where you want a little extra sparkle — 7pm on the beach, right people, golden light. 5mg of THC, tropical flavors, and a product leaning decidedly alcohol-adjacent. JKI worked directly with founder Angie Stevenson on brand identity and symbols, developed full line architecture and packaging design, and collaborated with Chilean artist Jerónimo Gauna on original can art whose floral patterns evoke tropical warmth and beach nostalgia. We carried every element through mechanical artwork and strategy to make sure it all felt like an invitation.

Terpene-infused sparkling water is a brand new category — not promising functional benefits, but offering an opportunity to step into the present moment and do something thoughtful for yourself. JKI partnered with Terp Water to build a visual system that reflected their vision of modern terpene-infused beverages as a refined, intentional alternative. We developed product architecture, brand identity, typography, color systems, packaging design, and carried everything through line extensions and packaging mechanicals.

JKI partnered with NFL veteran Micah Hyde to build a hemp-infused shandy where every signal earns credibility — crest logo, classic beer cues, the shandy format itself, all grounded in athletic culture and pointing toward a consumer who takes care of their body but wants a real drink in their hand. 5mg THC and 5mg CBD per can. JKI led full brand identity, logo and crest design, copywriting, packaging, and print production, with regulatory compliance built in from the start and a system designed to scale through line extensions and seasonal releases.

The Creative Department came to JKI to extend and elevate their existing brand into new territory. JKI led creative direction and copywriting, designed packaging for new SKU launches, developed retail collateral, and produced 3D rendering that brought each product to life on shelf and in digital. We also developed assets around their recent industry awards — making sure every new touchpoint was built to the same standard as the flagship.

The South's social ritual, updated. Teazy was built to feel like something people already knew — warm tones, classic typography, the comfort of iced tea — with the functional signals necessary to drive retail conversion and shelf presence. JKI led full brand identity development including logo, typography, and symbols, designed packaging and retail collateral, and produced an influencer kit for regional launch across GA, NC, and SC. We worked directly on formula development alongside the manufacturer to produce a shelf-stable glass bottle fill distinctly different from anything on the market.

James Kennedy built his first national brand from the ground up with Apothecanna — one of the most recognized names in regulated and OTC cannabis. JKI led creative direction and brand identity, contributed to product formulation, and developed line extensions across the full portfolio. The work extended into web design and capital raise materials, ultimately supporting a successful brand sale. Apothecanna became known for artist partnerships, celebrity collaborations, and culturally relevant activations that kept it top of mind as one of the first DTC hemp products to reach a national audience.

The Daily Hit was a collaboration between Apothecanna and CAP Beauty — a pairing that brought apothecary credibility and editorial taste to a functional wellness blend. JKI contributed to product formulation using ingredients like pearl, maca, cordyceps, and L-theanine, back in 2017 before adaptogens were mainstream. We led packaging design alongside CAP Beauty's creative team, photographed by John Van Pamer, and developed licensing strategy, brand partnerships, line extensions, and digital presence to support the launch.
