The Brief

JKI Brand Studios partnered with NFL legend Micah Hyde to build Hyde's Hail Mary from the ground up — entering one of the most beloved and underserved categories in beverages: the shandy. Beer-meets-lemonade. Sessionable. Social. Built for exactly the kinds of moments people already reach for a cold one — before the game, during the game, watching with the crew.

The product doesn't ask you to give anything up. It asks you to keep the ritual — the crack of the can, the crisp refreshment, the occasion — and just swap out what's in it. With 5 mg THC and 5 mg CBD per can, Hyde's Hail Mary delivers that same game-day energy without the hangover, without the regrets, without the compromise. All the ritual. Zero regrets.

JKI's Role

JKI built the brand end-to-end — from the category frame to the visual identity, packaging system, and go-to-market positioning. The brief was straightforward: shandies are a legitimate, beloved category. This is hemp's version of that. Design it so it belongs in that cooler, signals the right occasion, and earns the reach.

The design language is rooted in classic beer iconography and crest-style heritage — language consumers already understand and trust. The identity doesn't try to explain itself. It lands like a beer that happens to be hemp-infused, not a hemp product trying to look like a beer. That distinction is everything in shelf presence and first-grab occasions.

Moment Architecture

The Drink You'd Reach For Anyway.

Moment architecture starts with one question: when does this actually get used? For Hyde's Hail Mary, the answer is obvious — it's every moment you'd normally crack open a beer. Kickoff. Halftime. After the game when the crew is still hanging. Sunday in the backyard. The tailgate. The watch party. The cooler at the cookout.

The shandy isn't a niche format — it's one of the most sessionable, beloved beer styles in the world. Beer and lemonade. Cold, crisp, easy to drink. Hyde's Hail Mary lives in that category and earns its place in it. The difference is what's inside: 5 mg THC + 5 mg CBD, delivering the same relaxed, social energy — without the next morning working against you.

Micah Hyde's name carries 10 NFL seasons of credibility. That's not a celebrity endorsement — it's a category endorsement. When someone with that resume puts his name on a hemp shandy, it signals exactly where the product lives: sports culture, social occasions, all the ritual and zero regrets.

01

Consumer Signal

Sports fans, social drinkers, beer drinkers looking for a smarter choice. They're not in a wellness aisle — they're at a game. They want something in their hand that makes sense in that moment, without feeling like they made a sacrifice to get there.

02

The Occasion

Kickoff. Halftime. The backyard on Sunday. The watch party. The tailgate. Any moment where a cold beer would have lived before — Hyde's Hail Mary lives there now. Same cooler. Same reach. No regrets.

03

The Ingredient Logic

5 mg THC + 5 mg CBD per can. The shandy format is already sessionable and approachable — the hemp adds a clean, balanced effect that matches the social vibe of the occasion without tipping into impairment. A drink designed for the long game.

04

The Brand Signal

Crest-style iconography, beer-category visual language, Micah Hyde's athletic credibility. Every signal says: this belongs in your hand at a game. Not a wellness product. Not a novelty. The hemp shandy that earns the reach.
